Activity

Carmen Esposito is a Researcher at the Istituto per il Rilevamento Elettromagnetico dell’Ambiente (IREA), an Institute of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), Naples . Her main research interests include the development of advanced airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry techniques and of algorithms for the performance analysis of new-borne airborne SAR systems.

Curriculum

Carmen Esposito received the Master’s degree (summa cum laude) in Telecommunication Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Napoli “Parthenope,” Naples, Italy, in 2012. In 2016 she received the PhD in Information Engineering from the Università degli Studi del Sannio, Benevento, Italy. Since 2011, she has been with the Istituto per il Rilevamento Elettromagnetico dell’Ambiente (IREA), an Institute of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), Naples, where she currently occupies the position of Researcher. Her main research activities are aimed, first of all, at the development of advanced airborne SAR data processing techniques with particular emphasis on SAR interferometry techniques. Secondly, the activities are focused on the development of algorithms for the performance analysis of new-borne airborne SAR systems. These algorithms are aimed both at estimating the characteristic parameters of the used antennas and at assessing the quality of the acquired radar signals.
