L'attività di ricerca di Riccardo Lanari riguarda principalmente il tema della elaborazione numerica dei dati Radar ad Apertura Sintetica (SAR) acquisiti in modalità convenzionale ed interferometrica.

Curriculum - ITA
Riccardo Lanari è nato a Napoli nel 1964 dove si è laureato con lode (1989) in Ingegneria Elettronica presso l’Università “Federico II”. Nello stesso anno, dopo una breve esperienza lavorativa presso l’ITALTEL SISTEMI SPA, ha iniziato la sua attività di ricerca presso l’IRECE-CNR e poi presso l’IREA-CNR, dove attualmente occupa la posizione di primo ricercatore. I suoi interessi di ricerca riguardano principalmente l’elaborazione numerica dei dati Radar ad Apertura Sintetica (SAR) acquisiti in modalità convenzionale ed interferometrica; in tale ambito, è autore di più di 70 lavori pubblicati su riviste internazionali ISI del settore, di un libro edito dalla casa editrice americana CRC-PRESS e di due brevetti. Riccardo Lanari è stato visiting scientist in diversi centri di ricerca internazionali, tra i quali: l’Istituto per le Scienze Spaziali ed Astronautiche (ISAS) di Sagamihara (Giappone, 1993), l’Istituto per le Radio-Frequenze dell’Ente Spaziale Tedesco (DLR) di Oberpfaffenhofen (Germania, 1991 e 1994) ed infine presso il Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) di Pasadena (California, 1997, 2004 e 2008). In quest’ultimo caso ha ricevuto un Award ed una Recognition dalla NASA per le ricerche effettuate nell’ambito del progetto SRTM. Riccardo Lanari è stato membro del consiglio scientifico dell’IRECE dal 2000 al 2001 e, successivamente, del comitato di istituto dell’IREA (nel quale è confluito il reparto di elettromagnetismo dell’IRECE, di cui egli era responsabile dal 1999) tra il 2001 ed il 2003. Inoltre, dal 2003 al 2007, è stato rappresentante dell’unità di ricerca IREA presso il Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni (CNIT), è stato nel 2006 membro del Comitato Tecnico Scientifico della società Marsec SpA e, dal 2007 al 2008, membro del gruppo di lavoro tematico "Osservazione e Scienza della Terra" dell’Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI). Riccardo Lanari è senior member della IEEE society, general speaker dell’IEEE-GRSS ed è stato chairman e/o membro del comitato scientifico di molti convegni internazionali. Infine, per quanto riguarda le attività di docenza, è stato, dal 2000 al 2003, professore aggiunto di Comunicazioni Elettriche presso l’Università del Sannio a Benevento e, dal 2000 al 2008, docente incaricato del modulo intensivo sul SAR, offerto dall’Istituto di Geomatica di Barcellona (Spagna) nell’ambito del Master Internazionale sulla Fotogrammetria Aerea e sul Telerilevamento. Tra il 2010 e il 2021 Riccardo Lanari è stato direttore dell'IREA. |
