AttivitĂ 

Ricercatorore presso la sede di Milano dove, dal 2004, si occupa dell'applicazione delle tecniche di telerilevamento per lo studio degli ambienti acquatici, in particolare lo studio dei fenomeni di fioritura algale (cianobatteri) e vegetazione acquatica. Le attività di ricerca fanno capo al tema dela Modellistica dell'estrazione dei parametri bio-geofisici. Nel 2013 dottore in Ecologia presso l’Università degli Studi di Parma.

Specializzato nello studio degli ecosistemi acquatici attraverso un approccio olistico che integra le metodologie di osservazione tradizionale alle tecniche di telerilevamento. Ha maturato una lunga esperienza nelle campagne di misura per la raccolta e analisi di dati chimico-biologici e radiometrici delle componenti acquatica e vegetale delle acque lacustri e costiere. Responsabile della gestione delle aree a canneto del basso Garda e referente della rete LTER per la Stazione Eugenio Zilioli di Sirmione.

Ha partecipato a numerosi progetto internazionali e nazionali quali: FP-7 GLaSS, Interreg EULAKES, nel progetto CLAM-PHYM dell'ASI, nel progetto bandiera RITMARE, e nei progetti CARIPLO-BLASCO, CARIPLO-RIZOMA e CARIVERONA, progetto SINOPIAE, progetto RESTO con Arpa Umbria e nel progetto CANNETI della PROVINCIA di BRESCIA.

Attualmente è inseritto nei progetti: H2020 EOMORES e SPACE-O, nei progetti ISEO e TESSERE della Fondazione CARIPLO e nel progetto ASI-COSTELAB.

Mi sono laureato in Scienze Naturali all’Università di Parma dove, nel 2013, ho conseguito anche il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Ecologia per la tesi: “Caratterizzazione ecologica dei cianobatteri nelle acque interne attraverso lo studio delle loro proprietà ottiche da dati in situ e immagini telerilevate”.

Dal 2019 ricercatore presso il CNR-IREA, precedentemente dal luglio 2013 ricercatore a tempo determinato sempre presso la sede di Milano, precedentemente dal 2004 assegnista di ricerca sempre presso il CNR-IREA. Mi occupo dell'applicazione delle tecniche di telerilevamento per lo studio degli ambienti acquatici, in particolare lo studio dei fenomeni di fioritura algale (cianobatteri) e vegetazione acquatica. Sono specializzato nello studio degli ecosistemi acquatici attraverso un approccio olistico che integra le metodologie di osservazione tradizionale alle tecniche di telerilevamento. Più di 10 anni di esperienza nel trattamento di dati satellitari e aviotrasportati ottici per la produzione d’informazioni tematiche e per la caratterizzazione dei laghi, delle zone costiera e della vegetazione. Esperienza in acquisizione e pre-processing di dati ottici, metodi di classificazione, analisi serie temporali, metodologie di validazione e stime dell’accuratezza di prodotti tematici. Implementazione di algoritmi e modelli bio-ottici dedicati alla stima della qualità delle acque. Ho maturato una lunga esperienza nelle campagne di misura per la raccolta e analisi di dati chimico-biologici e radiometrici delle componenti acquatica e vegetale delle acque lacustri e costiere.

Sono responsabile della gestione delle aree a canneto del basso Garda e referente della rete LTER per la Stazione Eugenio Zilioli di Sirmione. Dal 2003 collaboro con il CRA di Sirmione dove mi occupo di monitoraggio e divulgazione ambientale.
