Attività

Campo principale delle mie attività di ricerca è l'utilizzo di dati ottici mutlitemporali  (multi e iperspettrali, da piattaforme satellitari e aeree) a media risoluzione spaziale, per l'analisi dell'ambiente antropizzato e dei fenomeni naturali, a scala da locale a regionale, tramite l'uso integrato di dati e tecnologie sia ottiche che SAR.

In questo campo, la mia ricerca si articola su applicazioni tematiche di: correzione dell'effetto atmosferico, normalizzazione radiometrica, algoritmi e tecniche di Change Detection, analisi dell'evoluzione urbana e del consumo di suolo, monitoraggio di emergenze naturali (alluvioni e tsunami), mappatura geolitologica iperspettrale, mappatura e monitoraggio da remoto delle colture agricole, studio integrato a scala di bacino di problematiche di qualità delle acque e dei fattori antropici connessi.

Ulteriore settore di competenza è quello attinente ad attività di campo per misure spettroradiometriche su target acquatici, costieri e geologici, così come il rilievo fotometrico dell'irradianza solare.

Nel tempo ho maturato competenze nel campo della gestione dei dati a referenza spaziale all'interno di infrastrutture di dati spaziali (SDI) e delle problematiche di armonizzazione dei geodati, soprattutto nell'ambito di INSPIRE e Copernicus (GMES).

 

Curriculum - ITA

Laurea con lode in Ingegneria per l'Ambiente e il Territorio presso il Politecnico di Milano nel 2004, dove nel 2008 consegue il Dottorato di Ricerca in Geodesia e Geomatica.

Dopo aver collaborato con il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Idraulica, delle Infrastrutture, Ambientale e del Rilevamento del Politecnico di Milano, dal 2006 svolge attività di ricerca presso il CNR, prima come Assegnista di ricerca presso l'Istituto per il Rilevamento Elettromagnetico dell'Ambiente (IREA), UOS di Milano, quindi come Ricercatore presso l'Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologia dell'Informazione (ISTI), a Pisa, e di nuovo presso IREA, a Milano.

E’ stato visiting scientist presso il Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology(NIGLAS), della Chinese Academy of Sciences, sul tema "Integrated Landscape-Water Quality Monitoring through Remote Sensing".

Le tematiche di ricerca sulle quali è stato impegnato negli anni spaziano dalle applicazioni di telerilevamento (in ambito geologico, urbano, sulle emergenze ambientali), con particolare riferiemnto all'integrazione tra dati ottici e SAR, alle infrastrutture di dati spaziali, alle problematiche di armonizzazione e gestione dei dati a referenza spaziale.
