Attività

L'attività di ricerca si inquadra nell'ambito del telerilevamento a microonde tramite Radar ad Apertura Sintetica (SAR) da piattaforma satellitare. Essa è basata sullo sviluppo e la sperimentazione di algoritmi avanzati per l’elaborazione ed il filtraggio dei segnali acquisiti da Radar ad Apertura Sintetica con particolare riferimento all’Interferometria Differenziale SAR Multipassaggio ed alla Tomografia SAR.

Essa è finalizzata alla generazione di prodotti pre-operativi a supporto della valutazione del rischio ambientale e della sicurezza di edifici ed infrastrutture.

Simona Verde ha conseguito con lode la laurea specialistica in Ingegneria delle Telecomunicazioni presso l'Università degli studi di Napoli "Parthenope" nel 2011. Nel 2015 ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Ingegneria dell'Informazione presso la stessa università. Dal 2011 svolge attività di ricerca presso l'IREA - CNR, dove attualmente ricopre il ruolo di Ricercatrice.

L'attività di ricerca si inquadra nell'ambito del telerilevamento a microonde tramite Radar ad Apertura Sintetica (SAR) da piattaforma satellitare. Essa è basata sullo sviluppo e la sperimentazione di algoritmi avanzati per l’elaborazione ed il filtraggio dei segnali acquisiti da Radar ad Apertura Sintetica con particolare riferimento all’Interferometria Differenziale SAR Multipassaggio ed alla Tomografia SAR.

Nel 2013 in occasione della Joint Urban Remote Sensing Event (JURSE 2013) è stata premiata alla Student Competition a San Paolo, Brasile.

Nel 2017 è stata Invited visiting scientist presso il RADI-CAS di Pechino, Cina.

Nel 2020 è stata Session Chair nel 2020 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS).
